Sunrise with the Bristlecone pines
June 22, 2015 -- During my recent Great American Road Trip from Bozeman to the Bay Area, I found my way to Great Basin National Park in eastern Nevada.... which I had wanted to visit for some years now. Glad I took the time, as walking amongst the ancient Bristlecone pine forest, climbing 13,000+ foot Wheeler Peak, and dwelling in the complex and colorful Lehman Caves were each worth the drive. All totaled, I'd strongly recommend visiting this out-fo-the-way national park. Here are some pics from my sunrise romp in the Bristlecone pine forest.
