Descending Tenaya Canyon (September 2015)
September 27, 2015 -- I joined a great group of off-trail enthusiasts to hike down Tenaya Canyon in Yosemite NP. The day of Sierra Nevada canyoneering started at Tenaya Lake (8,150 feet in elevation), and ended ten miles later in Yosemite Valley (4,000 foot elevation). The group consisted of Phil Knight, Richard Perrelli, Marty Acree, Maya Perrelli, Kai Perrelli, Howard Weamer, and this happy camper. These pictures are from the first half of the hike, before we navigated the four rappels needed to complete the canyoneering adventure. I'll post pictures from the second half of the day soon. By the way, Happy 125th Anniversary today, Yosemite!!!! Rock on......
