Summer 2019 - LeConte Bay, Stikine-LeConte Wilderness, Tongass National Forest. While working as an Expedition Leader with Lindblad Expeditions during July and August, I visited LeConte Bay three times. The combination of Inside Passage waters, glacial ice, temperate rainforest forest and coastal mountains... well, a good number of my favorite natural features and phenomena. The glacial ice comes from the LeConte Glacier, which is North America’s southern-most tidewater glacier.
