Below is a list of the "national parks" I have visited, both in the US and in other countries. With respect to the US, the list includes National Monuments, National Seashores and National Lakeshores - public lands administered by the National Park Service, Overall, my list includes thirty-four national parks, fourteen national monuments and five national seashores in the United States. As well, I have visited twenty-six national parks in other countries.

Of those, I lived and worked in Yosemite National Park for four years, and worked in Yellowstone National Park for five months over the course of twenty-five years. All of my remaining visits to national parks were for one-to-twenty days.

This list does not include the countless months I have spent experiencing America's other public lands: National Forests, Bureau of Land Management lands, National Wildlife Refuges, state parks, and the like. The same is true for national protected areas, UNESCO sites, nature or game reserves, and other public lands in other countries.
