I have learned much about travel tour operations from having paid for and taken the guided tours listed below. These experiences have helped me better understand what works well, what doesn't work, and how to better organize and run a wilderness expedition, nature adventure or cultural tour.


➢ July, 1980 – Two day climb of Mt Rainer, Washington state.


➢ Aug 2003 – Seven day horsepack trip in the Muskwa-Kechika region of northern British Columbia (with Muskwa-Kechika Adventures).

➢ June 2012 – Three night backpacking trek on the Lares Trek, in the Peruvian Andes, northwest of Cusco.


➢ May 2015 – Three night river and eco-lodge trip down the Napo River to Sani Lodge, in the Ecuadorian Amazon Rainforest of Yasuni National Park (with Sani Lodge).
