May 9, 2015 -- Presently, I am having the good fortune of staying at Samai Ocean Hotel Spa on the coast of Ecuador, as part of a partnership with Status uio (which is owned and managed by two new friends in Quito). Samai is a muy tranquilo lodge in Loma de San Jose, just north of Montanita-Olon. This morning, my first morning at Samai, I had a peaceful and colorful walk into the town, and on the beach, of the small coastal community of San Jose - just north of Olon. While walking the playa, I came across a fishing boat coming ashore after its occupants finished their morning catch. Great interaction of boat, people, birds and surf....
